you know what's really good to improve? living models.

get your girlfriend's clothes off and draw! don't worry if it's wrong or right. just draw! especially i you get a large (and I mean LARGE) piece of paper (the cheaper, the better, so you won't feel any fear of making mistakes. draw with coal! it's fast, cheap, you'll practice your eye, get used with the figures and find good ways to structure your elements and put'em all in a nice composition.

read about art! it's nice, once you get used to it.

my girlfriend has been helping me a lot with that. I can draw better than her, but she has a much wider eye than mine.

once you find out that ability and quality are two different things... you'll worry a lot less with your mistakes and that will make you improve a lot. screw up and then study why. but screw! try as much as you can!
